Welcome to our Pre-school
Rainbow Pre-school in Chelmer Village, Chelmsford, offers a warm, welcoming environment where children learn through play, creativity, and guided discovery, ensuring parents feel confident in their child’s early education.

Introduction
I have the pleasure of working with a wonderful team, who offer an outstanding service to suit all your childcare needs and very much understand that when it comes to choosing childcare, it can be a very stressful event for any parent.
Our staff are committed to ensuring that your child’s individual needs are fully catered for and believe that the period from birth to school age is one of the most important and rapid stages in your child’s development. We aim to deliver individualised learning and care that enhances the development of the children within our care and gives these children the best possible start in life.
We will work in partnership with you to ensure your child’s development is encouraged in a safe, happy and secure environment and our staff are fully trained to provide the care, education and development opportunities that are so crucial to each individual child’s needs.
We very much hope you will join us and look forward to meeting you and your family.
Kerrie Schreiber, Rainbow Pre-school Supervisor.

Setting Overview
Rainbow Pre-school was established in 1983 and is a parent run pre-school. We operate on a termly basis and set our dates in accordance with those published by the Local Education Authority; making our terms similar to those of the local schools. We open 38 weeks per year and our term dates for the year ahead are displayed in the entrance lobby.
We are registered for 40 children each session and provide care and education for children below school age and over the age of two. Once a child starts at pre-school, parents become members of the Rainbow Pre-school Association and are entitled and encouraged to attend meetings. These meetings take place termly and parents are notified via email/ newsletter and posters within the setting.
Our pre-school is registered with the Essex Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership and contributes to the Partnership’s overall planning to provide education and care throughout the Foundation Stage.
We aim to:
provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age;
work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop;
add to the life and well-being of the local community; and
offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity
